Our week
Here is baby Hudson this week sleeping in the bouncy seat-- he is not a big fan of sleeping, so at least need a shot for posterity! Aidan says he is cute because of his "funny hair"...
Aidan in the sky chair being a good big brother- he is very doting on baby Hudson and likes to hold him. He also is in charge of baby Hudson while we are in the car, but does tire of this role at times.
Our dear, dear friends Jeff and Tamara-- visited us while transitioning from living in Panama to moving to Nepal! We will be lining up volunteers because Andy and I are planning on a trip to Katmandhu in a year. We were so thrilled to be able to see them during their short time in the States!

Hudson is home!
Hudson had a good night and was fever-free for most of the last day, so we were discharged today from the hospital!
He actually ended up being diagnosed with enteroviral meningitis, which is a type of viral meningitis. He likely got it from the boys who were sick the week before, and this is a very common infection in children; it just is more serious in babies, and can cause meningitis. He should have no long term problems because of this, and in some ways, having a diagnosis (that has a good prognosis) is at least an answer.
He was his little alert self this afternoon after we got home, and has been sleeping restfully. Our biggest challenge that we face is for him to relearn breastfeeding, since I ended up bottle feeding him for about a day because he was too weak to nurse effectively. This has been a roller-coaster week, but so thankful that he is home, doing well.

Wednesday Hospital update on Hudson
Just wanted to update you on Hudson. We had a pretty good night but the fever has persisted. The most recent vitals at noon today showed him without a fever (and the Tylenol should have been close to wearing off). We are hoping and praying that is the trend. He has been a little better at eating starting last night, which has also helped him look better.

Hudson update
Hudson had a fever last night so we went to the ER and were admitted to the hospital. They did blood, urine cultures and a spinal tap as per protocol and he is on antibiotics. It seems like it is likely a viral infection, and he is still having a high temperature today which makes him hard to feed and unhappy. I am here with him and thankfully Andy's parents are still visiting which helps us immensely.
Please pray for Hudson's recovery!
