Christmas 2013 Ski Trip to Michigan

 We traveled to the grandparents in Muskegon Michigan

to find lots of snow. They had 40 inches in December.

 Aidan and Caleb really enjoyed the white stuff and romped in it for hours.

 They helped grandpa knock off the heavy snow from the arborvitae trees.

They discovered some pretty tame squirrels that come to the corn

and sunflower seed feeders.

 Hudson had a little fever and stayed inside to play

with grandma's reindeer and Christmas moose.



Hudson also helped grandma cook.

 Santa left the four boy cousins spy goggles Christmas
morning.

 Daravia photo-shopped the Kraft boys pictures into a ninja background and made a big
poster of it for them for Christmas.

Aidan received a fancy microscope.

 The boys helped make and frost Christmas cookies.
Caleb got a good 3/8 inch of frosting on his.

 The boys got travel size tooth paste, brushes, and mouth wash. Now they
can pack their own bags.

The usual geo-tracks wound their way around the grandparents' sun room. The boys love
to take all the sets and build one big set of tracks.

 We drove up to Crystal Mountain in northern Michigan later Christmas day and stayed
in a condo right on the ski slopes.

We got fitted and rented all of our ski gear. Here Hudson models his helmet.

 The next morning the boys got lessons. Aidan
is waiting to get on the moving mat on the
bunny hill.

Aidan and his instructor. He went down the bunny hill only a few times and they
took him right up a ski lift to the bigger slopes.

 Here mommy skis with Caleb - he made the bigger slopes as well after a day on the bunny hill.

 Grandpa helped Hudson get used to making a "pizza" or wedge to start controlling his
speed and direction. Hudson stayed on the bunny hill, but made good progress.

 Grandma Carol sewed ninja pajamas based on the Lego Ninjago characters that the boys
like so much.

 One of the people Colleen works with had family that lived on Lake Michigan near our resort,
so we went out one evening to visit them.
