Here he is, 4 months and counting.. and he looks so innocent and cute in this picture. Behind this sweet smile lurks a devious child with no intent on sleeping during the night for mommy's sake or taking any regular naps for daddy's sake. As I type this, he is screaming, refusing to go to sleep. Treating his reflux has helped, but he is still high on the high maintenance scale of sleepers. His other tricks? Refusing to eat for anyone but mommy and daddy (although the church nursery managed to get him to eat today - I think it took two of them working together...). He has gone 6 hours while Andy and I have attempted a date without eating from the babysitter. Last night he woke me at 2am, 3am, 4am and 5am. At 5am, I decided to go sleep elsewhere and ignore any whimpers and of course, he slept after I left! (My pediatrician has advised that maybe we don't sleep in the same room-- she says that " you may not be hungry, but if someone brings you a Domino's pizza in the middle of the night, you would eat it..." hmmm, maybe not but I like the analogy) I talk to other moms in our church who just had their 3rd kid, and dreamily their newborns are sleeping better than this one at 4 months~ I guess he is rightfully trying to not be forgotten as the youngest. Sleep, what's sleep? Who needs a brain to um, take care of patients and um, work full time?
Stay tuned for some video of Bee talking to his feet...
