'Twas the night before....

I haven't really used this blog as a blog, but I can't help but reminisce about where I was 1 year ago on September 18th-- At this time I was at the hospital, being monitored since my blood pressure was high, and they were telling me that they would induce me at 6am. I had had lots of expectations about how the whole thing would happen, and I learned pretty quickly that to "just go with the flow" was going to be the best course of action! We had planned to go out to dinner at Ted's Montana Grill to see our friends off to their move to WI, so we got "chicken fried chicken" instead from the Ted's next door to the hospital. I remember that my friend Vivian, who passed away in February, sent me a picture to my phone of them at the restaurant missing us.

The next day was a blur and so exciting! They began the induction at 6am, and by 12:20pm we were parents, and Andy was the one who said "it's a boy"! It was a great day. Tonya and baby Liana, then Vivian came and were the first people besides the grandparents to meet our little guy.

Whew, 365 sleepless nights later and what was the best day ever has been the biggest blessing over the last year! Happy birthday little boy!

THE FIRST HAIRCUT!

So, Andy and I have been disagreeing over the haircut, so I threatened to take him while Andy was gone... So we compromised and he got his haircut today! It was a spur of the moment decision, but so much fun. He did so well, and now (sadly) does look like a little boy (fitting to his attitude)...

The DOG DAYS of AUGUST are here upon us in Hotlanta!

Reaching temperatures of 100 degrees hasn't been too fun, but we are managing to stay cool- the AC bills may be high!

Aidan has begun wrestling the dogs-- seems that both enjoy it quite a bit-- there is a lot of hair involved on Chaser's part...

So, everyone says that life changes when your child can crawl/walk... Of course we have found this to be the case-- it brings supervision to a whole new level. Here is our little guy pulling himself off in the area we have him sequestered in... (isn't he cute after his bath??

Even a pile of clean clothes in a basket can't keep him in...
