Toddler Predictive Value and more

There is a term in statistics (help me out Aunt Natalie...) called a predictive value, which in my line of work tells me how reliable a certain diagnostic test is in a certain population... (ok, hang in there, I know this is boring).

We have in our house the TODDLER Predictive Value, which means there is a very low likelihood that what Aidan says is actually true...

Example 1: I pick Aidan up from school yesterday, he says, "Mommy, I cried while you were gone". I ask the teachers-- no such tears existed. (Yes we are very manipulative of mommy)

Example 2... infinity: Aidan, did you go in your diaper? "Um, no"= YES, and "Yes"=NO.

Aidan is wearing out his current set of pants and his legs are not quite long enough for the next size up, but out of desperation I put him in the bigger size yesterday, but he was sort of stepping on them in the back. He said, "Mommy, look, there is pants on my shoe!"

My grandmother (dad's mother) succumbed to a cerebral aneurysm yesterday. Please pray for us as we travel and for my grandfather who has never spent a day without her for 60 years.

My latest favorite story is when Papa made his famous split pea/ham soup here. Aidan was eating it and kept saying "Daddy, fly my soup". I wasn't paying attention and kept thinking of that joke, "Waiter, there is a fly in my soup"-- but what it really means is for Daddy to make an airplane out of the spoon and "fly my soup".

Latest vocab is, "Mommy, I want to play on the fromputer (computer) and I like pumtatoes (potatoes)."
