Anniversarys, Birthdays and Father's Day

June is always a banner month for us-- We celebrated 9 years already of marriage, baby Hudson's 1st birthday and we had a great Father's Day weekend.  I took the boys to the zoo with a friend to give Andy some time to do projects, and it was good for all of us!

Andy returns tomorrow (on our 9th anniversary)... we cannot wait to see him.  The boys have been really missing their daddy, especially the youngest.  Thanks to Grandma (and my cousins for a week as well) for helping out, but we are very ready for Daddy to return. More pictures of all of that to follow!

Our Ellie Mae

We had to put our Miss Ellie Mae to sleep yesterday. She was a great dog who would have been 15 years old in September. She was our perfect pup but sassy at the same time. She was ever patient with the boys (but made her opinions known by chewing up clean diapers). She has been always Andy's dog from the beginning (she came with a house he bought when he lived in Mississippi) and tolerated the rest of us as squatters as our household grew. We will miss her fluffy soft ears and her determination. Think of Andy as all this has happened while he is overseas.

Calebisms

Not to be confused with Cubism, but Caleb has had some funny sayings as of late, and since the baby book is quite dusty, thought I would write it down for posterity somewhere.

Recent:
"Thank for meet you" = nice to meet you
"We welcome" = you're welcome
"Juh - li - uf" = Goliath

Previous:
"Wawwwwweeeeee" = sorry
"Waaaaay" = wait

The other funny thing is that he talks like a Southerner, using 3 syllables for 1 syllable words: "i picked it up off of the F-LO-OR".  And, when he says grace at the table, he is so sincere-- "thank you for the food, mommy getting here"- very cute.  We also watch a Swedish claymation type show every so often called "Pingu" and the only sound the penguin makes in it sounds to Caleb like the word "knock knock".  For awhile, Caleb would just yell at the top of his lungs, "KNOCK KNOCK".

We started out our Saturday at the "Touch a Truck" event...

Then off to Family Fun Day at the boys' preschool-- riding ponies..

After that, home for a quick nap, then off to a cookout for a birthday party... whew!

Good thing we only have church, a family day at church and picking up Nana at the airport tomorrow!
