Baby number 3 is ....

A BOY!!!

Everything looks great on ultrasound-so we are very thankful!

We have been asking Aidan if he wanted a little brother or a sister, and he always says, "I want a little brother, like Caleb". We also ask him what we should name the baby, and the answer is ALWAYS, "um.... Carter; Carter is a boy in my class".

I am thankful that Aidan likes that name, since Andy wanted to name his youngest brother Mercury when he was Aidan's age and they were awaiting Jordan's arrival.

Our house is going to be busy!

To and from Tanzania

We had quite a whirlwind trip to Tanzania to check out the job opportunity for us there. They kept me very busy while I was there, and Andy was busy checking out places that he would be interested in working at. We are still trying to make a decision about where to go-- and I actually have a few more job interviews to go to, so when they are all done-- we will attempt a decision.

On our way back, we missed a few flights and still managed to connect with my parents/our children in Detroit. My parents drove back home just in time to see their newest grandson, Mason! He is so cute and we can't wait to get back up there to meet him!

Thanks to all who prayed for us while we were there. God was really faithful to answer those prayers.

Grandma's present

So, to say that Aidan likes cookies is a major understatement. They are both obsessed if they know we have treats in the house, which makes the holidays quite difficult! Even Caleb says "cooooo-kie"- which we can usually get by giving him a cracker, since it is a nonspecific term for him, except if he can see a real cookie (like at our neighborhood Christmas party), then there is no fooling him!

Given this theme, we had wanted to do a ceramic thing for Grandma, so we made it a cookie tray

It was very good that I got there ahead of everyone, painted the background and had the idea for the tray, because we literally just did their handprints, I wrote the wording, and we bolted-- truly having Caleb there was like a bull in a china shop!
